Ear Training Programs

In preparation for the Listening event at Music Olympics I’ll be reviewing several free programs that could be useful.

This is a great site because its so easy to customize by eliminating the examples you don’t need for your level.  For example, look at interval recognition. If you are in the Elementary Level you can turn off all the intervals except M2, M3, P4, P5 and just work with them.

This week make it your goal to work on these:

Primary- Keyboard note identification- turn off accidentals

Elementary- Note Identification – turn off accidentals and change range to middle C to treble C

Lower Intermediate – Interval identification – turn off all but M2, M3 P4 P5 M6 M7 P8

Intermediate – chord identification – turn off all chords except major and minor

Upper Intermediate – key signature identification – major and minor
